Hanson Renouf contribute to publication of a new edition of Le Gros’ treatise on the customary law of Jersey.

Hanson Renouf are pleased to bring to the attention of the firm’s friends and clients the recent publication by the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review of this facsimile edition of Charles Sydney Le Gros' Traité du Droit Coutumier de l'île de Jersey. The new edition includes extensive end-notes prepared by Timothy Hanson and Jean-Marie Renouf in which reference is made to the numerous academic articles and judgments of the Jersey Courts in which Le Gros has been cited. The text forms an important part of the doctrine of Jersey law and it is hoped that this recent edition and commentary will facilitate and encourage the use of the Island’s seminal texts.
